2018 Boys Basketball Individual/Team Day Camp

Attached is the flyer and registration form for the 2018 Boys Basketball Individual/Team Day Camp which will be held at Powell High School from June 25-28. Check-in time will be at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 25 at Powell High School Gymnasium.

This camp is for those ages 10-17 and will feature daily game and basketball contests, group and individual duals, emphasize on fundamentals, have man defensive sessions, ball handling sessions, and shooting sessions as well have daily instruction/lectures.

The camp instructors are Brian Erickson and Chase Kistler.

Coach Erickson will begin his seventh season as head coach of the Northwest College Trappers and his tenth season as a member of the Trapper staff. In his third season as head coach, he led the Trappers to their first Region IX Championship in 46 years. This feat was accomplished in front of the home fans as they hosted the Region IX Tournament for the first time in Northwest College history. They went on to the National Tournament, making it to the Elite 8 and finished with a 31-5 record, which is the second best in Northwest College history. In his six years at the helm, he has a 120-74 record. Each team has had players that have moved onto play D1, D2 and NAIA levels. He also got the opportunity to coach and work with the NJCAA National Player of the Year, Chris Boucher, who played at the University of Oregon and is on the Golden State Warriors G-League team.

Coach Kistler is going on his tenth year at Powell High School – five seasons as head boys basketball coach for the Panthers. Coach Kistler was an assistant for three seasons under coach Mike Heny and one season under Mark Elliot. While coaching the Panthers, coach Kistler has been the head strength and condition coach for Powell Athletics. Also in that time, the Panthers have reached the WHSAA State Semi-finals game one and the WHSAA Regional Championship game once.
